Taking a step into the future and purchasing an E-reader...
But my first one back is about the E-reader. I've seen them everywhere, everyone talks about them and I remember not too long ago seeing the work Ebook and wondering what is that?
So after months of procastinating, I bit the bullet and got one. The Hanvon N516 . I'm yet to receive it but its coming and I'm excited but also apprehensive. I love books, the regular kind, so much that I'm not sure if I'll be able to get into it. But I better try it first.
The major pro is that it'll save paper which is always a plus for the enviroment! But I wonder, is the variety as wide and a normal book? Its not like I read anything other the Harlequins sweets and special moments, but still...
So I'm waiting for mine to arrive on my doorstep, which sucks because I've got no patience, LOL.
Now I'm also posting my blogs from my Blackberry via email, so if they're not formatted right or the pics are out of wack, that's why! You think they'd have an app for it.
Till next time!

Motivation
How do you stay motivated?
I’m afraid I haven’t touched my keyboard in at least a month. Mind you, I am in the early stages of pregnancy and
the second time around is not a smooth as the first. Being all day sickness, ALL DAY!!! Ugh, not plesant. Though
I’m hoping this means I’m having a girl as I’ve already got a son, and that would be the ideal balance. But so long
as both my babies are happy and healthy.
Anyway, motivation? I just can’t seem to sit and write these days. I’m afraid this means that I’m not really meant to
be a writer. That thought devastates me. That’s all I’ve thought about since my first year in high school. From that
moment I wrote sweet teen romances in little A5 notebooks and passed them around to my friends who’d write
comments in that back. (Wonder if I can find them somewhere?)
I find I’m always super motivated after reading a good book or going to a library chat.
What motivates you? What are some techniques that I can try? Am I not meant to me a writer do you think?

Writing... Or Lack There Of
I’m admitting that I haven’t written a thing on my current WIP for three weeks. Maybe a bit
more. It feels like I’m admitting to something a lot worse, but I think it’s safe to say, it’s
something that a lot of us may feel.
I used to see it as a bad thing. Like it meant that I wasn’t serious about becoming published. Now I see it can be a good thing. For the last few weeks I haven’t been writing, I’ve been judging contest entries (to which I thought they were of excellent quality, might I add!). So I really had no time to spare, being a mom and a full-time worker.
I had bouts of guilt, but now I see it was a great break away. Just because I didn’t write, doesn’t mean I didn’t think about it. That break gave me time to go over the current chapter I’m in and work out some of the kinks I was having, that was giving me a dreadful case of WRITERS BLOCK… *cue the scary music*
So, personally, I think a break (not too long) every now and again is perfectly okay. Especially if you’re like me and
1. Volunteer too much
2. Suffer from regular blocks.
That's my excuse, anyway, and I'm stickin' to it!!!

I've Lost My Writing Mojo!
It's happened again.
I've lost my mojo. Writing wise I mean. I go through these patches it seems. One mintue I can't drag myself away from the computer, the next I dread having to sit in front of it.
I'm normally motivated when I glance at my autographed books by my fav authors, or if I attend a seminar or author chat. Which is good because I've got a workshop in two weeks. But then that's not too good because it's two weeks.
SIGH.
Maybe I need to go watch The Notebook for the zillionth time. That normally works as well.
Who said writing romance was easy?

Twilight... Not what i thought

The first time I heard about this story was on Yahoo Answers. Everywhere I looked people were asking where they could get books, what others thought about the story ect.
I, of course, wondered what this hype was about, but it didn't to a point where the suspense was killing me and I HAD to know. Instead, I just ignored what I saw and I lost interest.
Then there was the hype about the movie coming out. I then made an effort to find out it was a romance involving a vampire as the Hero. As soon as I found that out, I knew it wasn't for me. I'm not into vampire romances.
Ohhhhh, I had a lot to learn.
So the movie came out and everyone was practically hysterical. It was absolutely everywhere and still I didn't rush to the movies to see it, nor pick up the book.
Then a week ago a friend gave me a copy of the movie, urging me to watch it. "sure, i'll put it on my list TBW." Two days later, I slipped the disc into my DVD player and watched the credits roll on.
By the end of the movie i'd managed to cry through out most of the movie. More gushy tears, crying in places where all the mains had to do was stare at one and other and I was spilling tears in every direction.
Why had I put off seeing this?
I'd missed out on so much time! And all because i was sure i wasn't into vampires. I'd forgotten in parts that Edward was a vampire!
So i've seen the movie and LOVED it.
I've got the series of books of ebay and eagerly await them to arrive in the post!
I'm now proud to say, I'M ADDICTED TO TWILIGHT!!!

Grammar, Usage and Punctuation... Arrgghhhh!

Where was I school when they were teaching this?
And I prided myself on having such good grades in English. It’s embarrassing the things I’ve found that I don’t really have a clue about.
Get ready for this.
Noun.
What is it? I don’t really know.
How can one who aspires to write, not know this?
I’m mortified to have to admit it. But then it’s the first step to getting help, isn’t it? So on the weekend, off I went to the library to stock up on books to re-teach myself the bits and piece I should already know. Hopefully with a bit of luck, I was listening in the back row of English and I’ve just forgotten.
I think it’ll be a slow, and gradual learning process, hopefully not to slow I do have a WIP I’m on at the moment.
Now, what is a verb…
