Well, I disappeared for a while there didn't I? Lucky I've only got five followers at the moment, LMAO.
This week I received my entries for a contest I'm judging and I must say I'm impressed by the entries. I love judging, but I was supposed to enter the comp myself, however I got sidetracked and still haven't started the new story.
Still playing with scenarios and am sure that my conflict is not really conflict after coming accross a article by Sherry Lewis on the subject. I'm usually a bit of a plotter but then find I get so caught up in the planning, it takes ages to get started. But I think this time I might try at least plotting the conflict and motivation because I think that's whats holding me back with this one in my head.
Are you a plotter? It's a question that's thrown around a bit but I don't get sick of reading responses. Let me know. All five of my followers, lmao.
Till next time (whenever that is :-)...)

What have I read this week?
I'm currently a few chapters into Winning The Right Brother by first time author Abigail Strom which I'm so far enjoying.

What Am I Reading at the End of the Week?
I'm only into chapter 6 but so far am enjoying it. Its part of a series called Second Chance Bridal, and this one is book two. So I'll have to go back and read the first.
What are you reading?

Why haven't I started my new story?
I've gone to start it three times and just wasn't happy with it. Now I know they say to just write through it and then weed the crap out, but its got to be decent to start with. At least I think so.
I was trying to aim at entering my first comp shortly, but have instead put it off till next year, and have instead found myself being a judge instead. Which is fine because I do love. reading other new writers stuff.
So I've got the basic plot in my head I just need to get the first page sorted and then I should be right. Hopefully!!!
Now I've been thinking I might make fridays "What are you reading" day. Now I've been having a tendancy to read the one book for something outrageous, like two weeks, which I blame the two kids for LOL.
Till Friday then...

Buying Ebooks
But I've got an obsession with books. Just the normal kind, since they've been around forever. I buy them, romance and also the odd true crime, but don't read them. ? ? ? I always think to myself, it'll be good to have another one on my shelf, just incase...
Uhhh, still haven't read one LOL. I borrow from the library and read fine. I seem to have this odd obsession with buying books, just incase...
Anyone else have this or something like it?

Taking a step into the future and purchasing an E-reader...
But my first one back is about the E-reader. I've seen them everywhere, everyone talks about them and I remember not too long ago seeing the work Ebook and wondering what is that?
So after months of procastinating, I bit the bullet and got one. The Hanvon N516 . I'm yet to receive it but its coming and I'm excited but also apprehensive. I love books, the regular kind, so much that I'm not sure if I'll be able to get into it. But I better try it first.
The major pro is that it'll save paper which is always a plus for the enviroment! But I wonder, is the variety as wide and a normal book? Its not like I read anything other the Harlequins sweets and special moments, but still...
So I'm waiting for mine to arrive on my doorstep, which sucks because I've got no patience, LOL.
Now I'm also posting my blogs from my Blackberry via email, so if they're not formatted right or the pics are out of wack, that's why! You think they'd have an app for it.
Till next time!

Motivation
How do you stay motivated?
I’m afraid I haven’t touched my keyboard in at least a month. Mind you, I am in the early stages of pregnancy and
the second time around is not a smooth as the first. Being all day sickness, ALL DAY!!! Ugh, not plesant. Though
I’m hoping this means I’m having a girl as I’ve already got a son, and that would be the ideal balance. But so long
as both my babies are happy and healthy.
Anyway, motivation? I just can’t seem to sit and write these days. I’m afraid this means that I’m not really meant to
be a writer. That thought devastates me. That’s all I’ve thought about since my first year in high school. From that
moment I wrote sweet teen romances in little A5 notebooks and passed them around to my friends who’d write
comments in that back. (Wonder if I can find them somewhere?)
I find I’m always super motivated after reading a good book or going to a library chat.
What motivates you? What are some techniques that I can try? Am I not meant to me a writer do you think?
